for anyone who's interested, bbc documentary series horizon is showing a program called 'a war on science' this thursday 26 jan 9pm on bbc2.

having been a huge u2 fan ever since around 1982 i still eagerly await their new stuff.

i remember being told to throw out the 'war' album by my jw parents because it was about war.

it took about a week to explain to them that it was actually an anti-war album!

World's Worst Century?

with events in iraq seemingly going from bad to worse, and with what i see as an increasing number of end-time 'prophets' posting on this board, i thought i would bring this programme to everyone's attention.

it may put today's events into perspective compared to some of histories more turbulent times.. would anyone here rather go back and live in the 14th century?.

i don't have access to a watchtower cd but just wanted to know if author james vanderkam has ever been quoted by the watchtower society?

i've just lent one of his books to a witness friend and it may lend more weight to his more critical biblical arguments if he has been quoted by them.. thanks,.

for anyone who's interested, i just wanted to post a link to a great chronology website i've found.

basically it deals with babylonian astronomy, king lists, chronicles, synchronisms etc.

well after over 100 posts this is my first thread.

but i thought that this subject was important enough to start a topic and i hope some of you will be able to give me some good advice.. to set the scene: a very close friend of mine is a nurse training to be an anaesthetist.

he recently had a jw call on him and he'd invited him in and they'd discussed the blood issue.
